Mike Abbott pattern drawknife

Designed by Mike Abbott and manufactured by Ray Iles from O1 high carbon tool steel. This 8” drawknife has flared handles which are bent backwards slightly, meaning the handles are at approximately the same angle, whether you are using it back down, or cannel down.

Ray Iles Gent’s Drawknife

This delicate drawknife has a 6” cut- ting edge and slightly splayed handles. It is made from O1 high carbon tool steel and is fitted with beautiful curved boxwood handles and brass ferrules.

Small Ray Iles Drawknife

This 6” slightly smaller version of the Ray Iles drawknife is very useful for more delicate work.

Large Ray Iles Drawknife

This is a standard 8” carpenter’s drawknife with slightly flared handles. Made from O1 high carbon steel, fitted with beech handles and brass ferrules.

Properly known as a drawing knife, the drawknife is a versatile tool, used by many trades to remove surplus wood and for rounding and chamfering.
